WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division of the Finance Department continually
works on securing and protecting the City's computer network and data; and
WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division needs to replace aging data center
servers and SANs; and
WHEREAS, the cost of replacing the data center servers and SAN equipment totals
$222,319.45 to purchase (2) SANs, (2) storage expansion cabinets and (3) servers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Information Technology Division is hereby
authorized to purchase equipment as referenced by Dell quote number 3000206145261.12.
