WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island, Nebraska was awarded a $339,000 as part of the
United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS,City Council approved the 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan which identified The
Daycare Scholarship Program as an approved program to utilize CDBG Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with each organization
implementing programs identified in the 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan.
WHEREAS,Daycare Scholarship program will continue to utilize the remaining$4,294.85
of CDBG funding,this program will be implemented by The Central District Health Department to
aid households within the City of Grand Island with the use of Community Development Block
Grant Funds the current sub-recipient agreement will be amended to reflect additional funds and
grant end date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that The City of Grand Island,Nebraska is hereby
authorized to amend Sub-Recipient Agreement with Central District Health Department and the
Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such contracts.
