WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island, Nebraska was awarded a $339,000 as part of the
United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block
Grant(CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS,City Council approved the 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan which identified The
Emergency Payment Program as an approved program to utilize CDBG Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with each organization
implementing programs identified in the 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan.
WHEREAS,Daycare Rehabilitation program is awarded$61,620 to continue the program,
this program will be implemented by The Central District Health Department to aid in-home daycare
facilities within the City of Grand Island with the use of Community Development Block Grant
Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that The City of Grand Island,Nebraska is hereby
authorized to enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with Central District Health Department and the
Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such contracts.
