WHEREAS, on January 27, 2026, via Resolution No.2026-17, the City of Grand
Island awarded The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska the bid in the
amount of $3,323,770.00 for Stolley Park Road- South Locust Street to Stuhr Road Paving
Improvements; Project No. 2024-P-4; and
WHEREAS,to include modifications to gate and fencing to accommodate State Fair
negotiations, water service reconstruction required by GIUD to meet cover and separation from
sanitary sewer,and miscellaneous surfacing and storm sewer modifications to meet field conditions
Change Order No. 1 is being requested; and
WHEREAS,such modifications have been incorporated into Change Order No. 1 for
a contract increase of$67,420.75, resulting in a revised contract amount of$3,391,190.75; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Mayor be,and hereby is,authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1, in the amount of$67,420.75, between the City of Grand
Island and The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska to provide the
modifications.
