WHEREAS, a claim for benefits set forth in Neb. Rev. Stat. §16-1010 has been
made by Tamrae Marcello, widow of Officer Christopher Marcello; and,
WHEREAS, in furtherance of resolution of said claim the City of Grand Island
wishes to purchase an annuity for a cost of$625,406.88.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Mayor, or his designee, is hereby
authorized to execute any and all documentation required to purchase, assign, and administer said
annuity and to take any associated actions necessary to finalize settlement of said §16-1010 claim.
