WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Liquid Ortho-
Polyphosphate for Corrosion Control,according to plans and specifications on file with the Utilities
Department; and
WHEREAS, on August 20, 2026, bids were received, opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS,Carus Corporation,Inc.,submitted a bid in accordance with the terms of
the advertisement of bids and plans and specifications and all other statutory requirements contained
therein,such bid being not to exceed the amount of$49.02 per million gallons of water treated;and
WHEREAS,the bid of Carus Corporation, Inc.,, is less than the estimate for Liquid
Ortho-Polyphosphate for Corrosion Control.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of Carus Corporation, Inc., not to
exceed the amount of$49.02 per million gallons of water treated,for Liquid Ortho-Polyphosphate
for Corrosion Control, is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such contract on behalf of the City of Grand Island and to take all other actions necessary to
effect the purpose of this resolution.
