WHEREAS,on August 7,2026 a Request for Proposals(RFP)was advertised in the
Grand Island Independent to supply Sludge Dewatering Polymer; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 2026 one (1) proposal, from Consolidated Water
Solutions, was received and opened; and
WHEREAS, Wastewater staff has currently been using the polymer from
Consolidated Water Solutions of Omaha,Nebraska, thus is familiar with its performance; and
WHEREAS,it is requested to award a contract to Consolidated Water Solutions and;
and
WHEREAS, Consolidated Water Solutions price of $2.15 per pound (including
shipping) will be honored October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2028.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the supply of a manufactured polymer from
Consolidated Water Solutions of Omaha, Nebraska for Sludge Dewatering Polymer for
Primary/Final Clarifier Sludge is hereby approved.
