WHEREAS, the City Engineer/Public Works Director for the City Of Grand
Island has issued a Certificate of Completion for Independence Avenue- Capital Avenue to
Manchester Road; Project No. 2023-P-10, certifying that The Diamond Engineering Company of
Grand Island, Nebraska, under contract, has completed the work required by the contract at a
total cost of$3,433,028.55; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred additional Project costs in the amount of
$856,298.60, as detailed below, resulting in a total Project cost of$4,289,327.15; and

WHEREAS, the City Engineer/Public Works Director recommends the
confirmation of the Certificate of Completion and acceptance of the Project as complete; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor concurs with the recommendation of the City
Engineer/Public Works Director.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Certificate of Final Completion,
for Independence Avenue- Capital Avenue to Manchester Road; Project No. 2023-P-10, in the
total amount of $4,289,327.15, is hereby confirmed and the Project is hereby accepted as
complete.
