01/27/2026 Resolutions 2026-15 RESOLUTION 2026-15 WHEREAS, City of Grand Island / Hall County is currently in the process of upgrading radio infrastructure to allow the ability to use the State's radio network; and WHEREAS, The fire department needs to upgrade mobile radios to maintain communication with GIEC; and WHEREAS, The fire department seeks approval to purchase six(6)mobile radios to be installed in two frontline ambulances, three frontline engines, and one frontline aerial; and WHEREAS, State bid was used to solicit competitive pricing for the Motorola APX 8500; and WHEREAS, The selected mobile radios have a cost of$57,221.34 from Motorola Solutions Inc. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that purchase of mobile radios from Motorola Solutions Inc.is hereby accepted and approved;and that the City Clerk shall store,retain,and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents as contracts and agreements are 111 retained.
