WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island, Nebraska was awarded a $339,000 as part of the
United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block
Grant(CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS,City Council approved the 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan which identified The
Emergency Payment Program as an approved program to utilize CDBG Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with each organization
implementing programs identified in the 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan.
WHEREAS, Hope Harbor Inc. was allocated $23,000 of CDBG funding to rehabilitate the
current building where Emergency and transitional shelter activities take place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that The City of Grand Island,Nebraska is hereby
authorized to enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with Hope Harbor Inc. and the Mayor is hereby
authorized and directed to execute such contracts.
