WHEREAS, with the proposed developments in the Veterans Village the
floodplain/floodway needs to be remapped/rerouted to ensure drainage for the area; and
WHEREAS, Olsson, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska has been selected to provide
engineering services for design and environmental permitting to develop new alignment channel
for Moore's Creek eastern tributary that accommodates ongoing development of Veterans
Village and the future Broadwell Avenue overpass of the BNSF railway; and
WHEREAS, through this agreement the FEMA CLOMR application will be
prepared and submitted, as well as correspondence and any revisions to the application handled;
and
WHEREAS, services are to be provided for an amount not to exceed $92,680.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island and that the City Clerk
shall store, retain, and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents in
the same manner as contracts and agreements are retained..
