WHEREAS,the current boiler(s)systems are in failing condition at Heartland Event
Center; and
WHEREAS, the boiler system need to be replaced for future events; and
WHEREAS,Honeywell International,through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing
quoted the replacement of failed boiler system for $1,975,045.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the contract with Honeywell in the amount of
$ 1,975,045 for boiler system replacement at Heartland Event Center, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such contract on behalf of the City of Grand Island and to take all other actions necessary to
effect the purpose of this resolution.
