WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for gate replacement at the Law
Enforcement Center; and
WHEREAS, on October 23, 2025, two (2)bids were received, opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, American Fence Company from Grand Island, Nebraska, submitted a bid in
accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids, plans and specifications and all other
statutory requirements contained therein, such bid being in the amount of$71,060.00; and
WHEREAS, such project will be funded through Capital Expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid from American Fence Company from
Grand Island, Nebraska in the total amount of $71,060.00 for gate replacement at the Law
Enforcement Center is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designees are hereby authorized to take
all actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
