RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2006-18
WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from
Concept Fiberglass Homes, Inc., a Nebraska corporation, to install, upgrade, maintain, and repair
public utilities and appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 24, 2006, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement and right-of-way through a part of Lot One (1)
Concept Second Subdivision in the city of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, the easement and
right-of-way being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest comer of Lot One (1) Concept Second Subdivision;
thence N61 030'42"E along the northerly line of said Lot One (1), a distance of three
hundred fifty one and eleven hundredths (351.11) feet to the Actual Point of
Beginning; thence continuing along the northerly line of said Lot One (1), a distance
of two hundred seventeen and eighteen hundredths (217.18) feet; thence
N00003'27"W along a line of said Lot One (1) a distance oftwenty two and fifty
seven hundredths (22.57) feet; thence N51 024'11 "E along the northerly line of said
Lot One (1), a distance of three hundred sixty and fifty seven hundredths (360.57)
feet; thence S38035'49"E, a distance of twenty (20.0) feet; thence S48042'50"W, a
distance of forty five and seventy seven hundredths (45.77) feet; thence S29017'29"E,
a distance of one hundred five and nine tenths (105.9) feet; thence N60042'31 "E, a
distance oftwenty eight (28.0) feet; thence S29017'29"E, a distance oftwenty (20.0)
feet; thence S60042'31 "W, a distance of forty eight (48.0) feet; thence N29017'29"W,
a distance of one hundred twenty one and sixty six hundredths (121.66) feet; thence
S48042'50"W, a distance of three hundred ten and forty nine hundredths (310.49)
feet; thence S61030'42"W, a distance of one hundred fifty six and seven tenths
(156.7) feet; thence S24048'05"E, a distance of thirty eight and seventy nine
hundredths (38.79) feet; thence N62001'54"E, a distance of fifteen (15.0) feet; thence
S24048'05"E, a distance of twenty and three hundredths (20.03) feet; thence
S62001'54"W, a distance of thirty five and three hundredths (35.03) feet; thence
N24048'05"W, a distance of fifty eight and sixty three hundredths (58.63) feet; thence
S61030'42"W, a distance of forty two and thirty two hundredths (42.32) feet; thence
N28029'18"W, a distance of twenty (20.0) feet to a point on the northerly line of said
Lot One (1) being the said point of beginning.
The above-described easement and right-of-way containing 0.45 acres, more or less,
as shown on the plat dated December 23, 2005, marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Concept Fiberglass Homes, Inc., a Nebraska
corporation, on the above-described tract of land.
