RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2005-112
WHEREAS, a sanitary sewer easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from
Joel B. Shafer, a single person, to install, upgrade, maintain and repair public utilities; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 12, 2005, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of a sanitary sewer easement through a part of Lot Forty Six
(46), Block One (1), Dale Roush Second Subdivision located in the city of Grand Island, Hall
County, Nebraska, the right-of-way being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the west line of Commanche Avenue intersects the south
line of Dakota Drive; thence southwesterly on the northwesterly line of Lot 46, Block
1, Dale Roush Second Subdivision, to the most northwesterly comer of Lot 46, Block
1, Dale Roush Second Subdivision; thence southeasterly on the westerly line of Lot
46, Block 1, Dale Roush Second Subdivision to a point; thence northeasterly on a
line twenty feet southeasterly of and parallel to the northwesterly line of Lot 46,
Block 1, Dale Roush Second Subdivision to the south line of Dakota Drive; thence
west on the south line of Dakota Drive to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a sanitary sewer easement from Joel B. Shafer, a single person, on the above-
described tract of land.
