WHEREAS, real property is required by the City of Grand Island for utility easements
and right-of-way purposes to widen Stolley Park Road from U.S. Highway No. 281 west for
approximately one-half mile; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 27,2004, for the purpose of discussing
the acquisition of rights-of-way affecting the following tracts of land:

A tract ofland consisting of part of Lot 1 ofHesselgesser Subdivision, located
in the Southeast Quarter of Section 24, Township 11 North, Range 10 West of
the 6th P.M., City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska and more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast comer of said Lot 1, said point also being the
Point of Beginning; thence on an assumed bearing of S88023'57"W along the
south line of said Lot 1 a distance of346.01 feet to the southwest comer of said
Lot 1; thence N10036'Ol "W along the west line of said Lot 1 a distance of3.06
feet; thence N88022'03"E a distance of 262.01 feet; thence N85030'18"E a
distance of 60.07 feet; thence N88022'03 "E a distance of 22.13 feet to a point

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire right-of-way from the parties identified above on the above-described tracts of
land.
