RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2004-52
WHEREAS, right-of-way is required by the City of Grand Island, from Garry L.
Williams and Jeanne S. Williams, husband and wife, forroad right-of-way along Midaro Drive; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 9, 2004, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of right-of-way through a part of Lot Four (4), Firethorn Estates
Subdivision in the City of Grand Island, located in the Northern Half (Nl/2) of Section Twenty
Seven (27), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9) West of the 6th P.M. in Hall County,
Nebraska, the right-of-way being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast comer of Lot Four (4); thence on an assumed bearing
ofN89036'24"W along the south line of said Lot Four (4), a distance of261.52 feet to
the point of beginning; thence continuing N89036'24"W along said south line a
distance of78.57 feet; thence N82036'33"W along said south line a distance of14.77
feet to a point of curvature; thence around a curve in a clockwise direction having a
delta angle of 83031 '32, an arc length of 102.05 feet, a radius of 70.00 feet, and a
chord of S88030'03 "E a distance of 93.25 feet to the point of beginning.
The above-described right-of-way containing a calculated area of 1,207.91 square
feet or 0.0277 acres, more or less, as shown on the drawing attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire road right-of-way from Garry L. Williams and Jeanne S. Williams, husband
and wife, on the above-described tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, March 9, 2004.
