06/10/2003 Resolutions 2003-148 I I I RESOLUTION 2003-148 WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from Randall J. Kathman and Jean M. Kathman, husband and wife, to install, upgrade, maintain, and repair public utilities and appurtenances; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 10, 2003, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of easements and rights-of-way through a part of Lot Nine (9) of Platte Valley Industrial Park Third Subdivision in the city of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, utility easement and right-of-way tracts being more particularly described as follows: Tract No.1: The westerly Five (5.0) feet of Lot Nine (9), Platte Valley Industrial Park Third Subdivision. Tract No.2: A Twenty (20.0) foot wide tract ofland, the centerline being particularly described as follows: Commencing at the northwest comer of Lot Nine (9) Platte Valley Industrial Park Third Subdivision; thence southerly along the westerly line of Lot Nine (9) Platte Valley Industrial Park Third Subdivision, a distance of Four Hundred Ten (410.0) feet to the Actual Point of Beginning; thence deflecting left 90000'00" and running easterly, a distance of Eighty (80.0) feet. The above-described easement and right-of-way tracts containing a combined total of 0.17 acres, more or less, are shown on the plat dated May 6, 2003, marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Randall J. Kathman and Jean M. Kathman, husband and wife, on the above-described tracts of land. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, June 10, 2003.
