03/26/2002 Resolutions 2002-87 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2002-87 WHEREAS, the Island Oasis Water Park has been in operation since 1993; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to periodically inspect the underground piping at the water park to ensure everything underground is in working order and free from leaks; and WHEREAS, Neuman Pools of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, a company specializing in aquatic construction, has done construction work at Island Oasis, and has experience working with the design and layout of the facility; and WHEREAS, due to Neuman Pools' experience with the construction of various aspects ofthe water park, it is suggested that they complete such underground piping inspection and perform repair work as deemed necessary through the inspections process; and WHEREAS, Neuman Pools has agreed to perform this service for an amount not to exceed $30,000, with a maximum amount of $5,000 of such $30,000 to be used for the testing portion of the process; and WHEREAS, a contract for such services has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's office. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that Neuman Pools of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, is hereby authorized to inspect the underground piping ofIsland Oasis, and to proceed with necessary repair work for an amount not to exceed $30,000, with a maximum amount of $5,000 of such $30,000 to be used for the testing portion of the process.
