RESOLUTION 2001-349
WHEREAS, the City Council, by authority of ~22-77 of the Grand Island City Code,
may by resolution, entirely prohibit, or fix a time limit for the parking and stopping of vehicles in
or on any public street, public property, or portion thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is requested that one on-street 20-minute parking express zone stall
be established at 414 West Third Street; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Improvement Board reviewed the request, and
recommended the space be designated as 20-minute parking for the period of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with
a 2-hour time limit for the remainder of the day; and
WHEREAS, the applicant is agreeable to the 20-minute express zone parking during
the 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. time frame; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to effect such regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that:
1. One on-street 20-minute express parking stall be established at 414 West Third Street
between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; and that parking in such stall be limited to two
hours for the remainder of the day.
2. The Street Department is directed to erect and maintain the sign and street markings
necessary to effect the above regulation.
