09/11/2001 Resolutions 2001-232 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2001-232 WHEREAS, on April 24, 2001, by Resolution 2001-107, the City of Grand Island approved and agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads to improve US. Highway 30 in Grand Island from Greenwich Street to Plum Street by resurfacing due to increased traffic and general deterioration of the roadway; and WHEREAS, the State of Nebraska agreed to participate in 25 percent of the actual construction cost of approved and accepted work up to a maximum monetary amount of $50,000; and WHEREAS, due to the deterioration ofthe roadway surfacing, more resurfacing work was completed on US. Highway 30 through Grand Island than initially expected; and WHEREAS, as a result of such increase in resurfacing work, the Nebraska Department of Roads has agreed to increase their financial contribution to an estimated $86,611; and WHEREAS, a Supplemental Agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's office. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Supplemental Agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads increasing the funding assistance level from the Nebraska Department of Roads for the resurfacing of US. Highway 30 in Grand Island is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
