09/11/2001 Resolutions 2001-231 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2001-231 WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from McDermott & Miller P.C., to install, upgrade, maintain, and repair a water main to assure proper valve alignment; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 11,2001, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement and right-of-way through a part of Lot One (1), Woodridge South Subdivision in the Northeast Quarter (NE1I4) of Section Twenty Eight (28), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9) West of the 6th P.M. in the city of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, the easement and right-of-way being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 22.56 feet south of and 2 feet west ofthe northeast comer of Lot 1 W oodridge South Subdivision; thence south on a line 2 feet west of and parallel to the east line of Lot 1 W oodridge South Subdivision, said line also being the west right-of-way line of South Locust Street for a distance of 118.23 feet; thence west on a line perpendicular to the west line of South Locust Street for a distance of 9.75 feet; thence north on a line 11.75 feet west of and parallel to the west line of South Locust Street for a distance of 118.23 feet; thence east on a line for a distance of9.75 feet to the point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire a public utility easement from McDermott & Miller, P.C., on the above- described tract of land.
