RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2001-194
WHEREAS, on November 8, 1999, by Resolution 99-353, the City of Grand Island
approved a contract with Werner Construction, Inc. of Hastings, Nebraska for the construction of
South Locust Street from U.S. Highway 34 south for one-half mile to the Wood River floodway; and
WHEREAS, the original contract allowed 135 working days for completion of the
work; and
WHEREAS, Werner Construction, Inc. has requested an extension of the completion
date by 25 working days based on the added sanitary sewer and water main work on the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the request of Werner Construction, Inc. of
Hastings, Nebraska, to extend the completion date for the construction of South Locust Street from
U.S. Highway 34 south for one-half mile to the Wood River floodway is hereby granted.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska on July 24,2001.
