07/24/2001 Resolutions 2001-190 I I I RESOLUTION 2001-190 WHEREAS, on October 12,1998, by Resolution 98-258, the City of Grand Island adopted the Community Connections Neighborhood Association Program; and WHEREAS, funds are available through the Family Preservation and Support Grant to provide 50/50 basis assistance for neighborhood improvement projects; and WHEREAS, various neighborhood associations submitted applications for neighborhood improvement projects; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that $3,000 be provided to the Southwest Neighborhood Association to continue the installation of new sidewalks along the north side of Husker Highway from Palace Drive west to Indianhead Drive, and along the south side of Husker Highway, connecting Schroeder Avenue and Graham Avenue; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that $1,082 be provided to the Indian Acres Neighborhood Association for the installation of a sign to the entrance of Indian Acres at the comer of Old Potash Highway and Cherokee Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the above-mentioned neighborhood associations be provided with the funds for the projects as identified above.
