05/22/2001 Resolutions 2001-127 I I I RESOLUTION 2001-127 WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited proposals to build three new single family homes at 1104 East 9th Street, 1110 East 9th Street and 1116 East 9th Street to be sold under the Affordable Housing Program, according to plans and Request for Proposals on file with the Community Development Division ofthe Community Projects Department; and WHEREAS, proposals were due on May 8, 2001; and WHEREAS, Dan Kunze of Grand Island, Nebraska, submitted a proposal in accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals and all other statutory requirements contained therein; such proposal being to purchase the property at 1104 East 9th Street for $10.00, and to construct a $54,000 2-bedroom finished and 2-bedroom unfinished, split level, single family, 818 square foot on each level house on the property; and WHEREAS, Dan Kunze of Grand Island, Nebraska, submitted a proposal in accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals and all other statutory requirements contained therein; such proposal being to purchase the property at 1110 East 9th Street for $10.00, and to construct a $61,000 2-bedroom, single family, 928 square foot house on the property; and WHEREAS, Dan Kunze of Grand Island, Nebraska, submitted a proposal in accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals and all other statutory requirements contained therein; such proposal being to purchase the property at 1116 East 9th Street for $10.00, and to construct a $61,000 3-bedroom, single family, 1,040 square foot house on the property; and WHEREAS, the City will sell the dwellings, upon completion, under the Home Ownership Opportunity Program, and will provide down-payment assistance to qualified low- income homebuyers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the proposal of Dan Kunze of Grand Island for the purchase of property at 1104 East 9th Street for $10.00 to construct a $54,000 2-bedroom finished and 2-bedroom unfinished, split level, single family, 818 square foot on each level house on the property in accordance with the Contract of Sale is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proposal of Dan Kunze of Grand Island for the purchase of property at 1110 East 9th Street for $10.00 to construct a $61,000 2-bedroom, single family, 928 square foot house on the property in accordance with the Contract of Sale is hereby approved. City Attorney I I I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proposal of Dan Kunze of Grand Island for the purchase of property at 1116 East 9th Street for $10.00 to construct a $61,000 3-bedroom, single family, 1,040 square foot house on the property in accordance with the Contract of Sale is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that contracts by and between the city and such contractor be entered into for such projects; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
