04/10/2001 Resolutions 2001-96 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2001-96 WHEREAS, on August 29,2000, by Resolution 2000-250, the City of Grand Island approved a grant application for federal assistance from the Land and Water Conservation Fund program for the construction of camping facilities at the sport shooting facility being developed at the former Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant site; and WHEREAS, on January 19, 2001, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission notified the City that the application was not approved for funding; and WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island would like to have the project reconsidered during the next federal fiscal year; and WHEREAS, a Project Renewal Form must be executed to proceed with such reconsideration of the proj ect. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island, Nebraska is authorized to request reconsideration on its application for assistance from the Land and Water Conservation Fund program for the construction of camping facilities at the sport shooting facility being developed at the former Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant site; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such Project Renewal Form and other documentation on behalf of the City of Grand Island for such grant process.
