04/10/2001 Resolutions 2001-90 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2001-90 WHEREAS, the Nebraska Department of Roads intends to expand to five-lanes, a section of US. Highway 30 from east of the Burlington Northern tracks to Warm Slough east of Stuhr Road which includes reconstruction ofthe intersection at Stuhr Road and constructing a new connection to Seedling Mile from US. Highway 30; and WHEREAS, in order to complete this project, right-of-ways must be widened and existing utilities must be moved from the construction area; and WHEREAS, the Nebraska Department of Roads will pay 80% ofthe project costs that do not improve the system when utilities are moved; and WHEREAS, the total project costs are anticipated to be $104,850, with the City's share to be approximately $20,970; and WHEREAS, an agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads is required to proceed with this project, known as Project No. S-30-4(1019). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads for water and power facilities rehabilitation pertaining to the widening of US. Highway 30 from east of the Burlington Northern tracks to Warm Slough east of Stuhr Road is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
