RESOLUTION 2001-54
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Grand Island are committed
to the orderly plan necessary to accommodate future growth and transportation needs; and
WHEREAS, on August 24,1992, by Resolution 92-215, the City of Grand Island
approved and adopted the Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan and associated figures
and maps as prepared by the firm ofBRW, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to such plan is recommended to extend the commercial
designation to land adjacent to the Bosselman Travel Center consisting of20 acres in the South Half
of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (SYz SW'i4 SE'i4) of Section Thirteen (13),
Township Ten (10) North, Range Ten (10) West, and the East Half of the Northeast Quarter (EYz
NE'i4) of Section Twenty Four (24), Township Ten (10) North, Range Ten (1 0) West of the 6th P.M.
in Hall County, Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, such amendment was approved by the Regional Planning Commission
on February 7,2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island hereby approves and
adopts an amendment to the Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan and associated
figures and maps to extend the commercial designation for land near the Bosselman Travel Center
along the Interstate 80/ U.S. Highway 281 corridor.
