RESOLUTION 2001-36
WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Commission, after public notice having been
published in one issue of the Grand Island Independent on December 30, 2000, and such notice also
having been posted in at least three places in areas where it was likely to attract attention, conducted
a public hearing on January 10, 2001, on the One and Six Year Street Improvement Program for
2001- 2006 for the City of Grand Island; and
WHEREAS, at the January 10, 2001 public hearing, the Regional Planning
Commission approved the One and Six Year Street Improvement Program 2001-2006, and
recommended that such program be approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Grand Island City Council, after public notice having been
published in one issue of the Grand Island Independent on January 17, 2001, and such notice also
having been posted in at least three places in areas where it was likely to attract attention, conducted
a public hearing on January 23,2001, on the One and Six Year Street Improvement Program for the
City of Grand Island; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the Six Year Street Improvement
Program as set out in Exhibit "A" should be adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Six Year Street Improvement Program
2001-2006, based on priorities of needs and calculated to contribute to the orderly development of
city streets, and identified as Exhibit "A", is hereby approved and adopted by this Council.
