RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2001-4
WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from
the Museum Board of Hall County, Nebraska, to install, upgrade, maintain, and repair power
appurtenances, including lines and transformers; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 9, 2001, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement and right-of-way through a part of Lot One (1),
Stuhr Museum Subdivision, an addition to the city of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; the
centerline of the twenty (20.0) foot wide easement and right-of-way being more particularly
described as follows:
Tract No.1:
Commencing at the Northeast comer of Northwest Quarter (NWl/4) of Section
Thirty Two (32), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9) West; thence westerly
along the northerly line of the Northwest Quarter (NW1I4), said Section Thirty Two
(32), on an assumed bearing ofN90000'00''W a distance oftwo hundred seventy five
and fifteen hundredths (275.15) feet; thence SOl 000' 40"E a distance of eighty and
twelve hundredths (80.12) feet to the southerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway
No. 34, being the Northwest comer of Lot Two (2), Stuhr Museum Subdivision;
thence continuing SOl 000' 40"E a distance of four hundred seventy three and zero
hundredths (473.0) feet; thence S05053 '27"W a distance of forty three and forty nine
hundredths (43.49) feet; thence S00049'52"W a distance of seventy seven and thirty
seven hundredths (77.37) feet; thence S06033' 5 5"W a distance of five hundred
seventy three and ninety three hundredths (573.93) feet; thence S05011 '55"W a
distance of five hundred five and forty four hundredths (505.44) feet; thence
S87028'48"W a distance of six and eighty four hundredths (6.84) feet; thence
S03030' ll"W a distance of fifty three and ninety eight hundredths (53.98) feet;

eighty and zero hundredths (80.0) feet, being the Actual Point of Beginning for
Tract No.1; thence S54017' 17"W a distance of three hundred thirty four and thirty
five hundredths (334.35) feet; thence S08059'41"E a distance of five hundred seventy
and sixty two hundredths (570.62) feet; thence S08054'47"E a distance of seven
hundred twelve and sixty five hundredths (712.65) feet; thence S18052'57"E a
distance of two hundred twenty three and thirty eight hundredths (223.38) feet;
thence S44 036' 3 7"E a distance of one hundred thirty and sixteen hundredths (130.16)
feet; thence N80025'05"E a distance of seventy eight and nine hundredths (78.09)
feet; thence N41047'12"E a distance of four hundred sixty eight and twelve
hundredths (468.12) feet.

The side lines of the above-described easement and right-of-way being extended or
trimmed to form intersections, and containing a combined total of 1.16 acres, more
or less, as shown on the plat dated 12/6/00, marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference,
Tract No.2:
Commencing at the Point of Beginning of the above referenced Tract No.1; thence
S540 17' 17"W a distance of three hundred thirty four and thirty five hundredths
(334.35) feet; thence S08059'41"E a distance of five hundred seventy and sixty two
hundredths (570.62) feet, being the Actual Point of Beginning of Tract No.2;
thence N88054'57"W a distance of four hundred twenty one and twenty four
hundredths (421.24) feet; thence S67027' 31"W a distance of one hundred ninety five
and seventy five hundredths (195.75) feet.
The side lines of the above-described easement and right-of-way being extended or
trimmed to form intersections, and containing 0.28 acres, more or less, as shown on
the plat dated 12/6/00, marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference,
Tract No.3:
Commencing at the Point of Beginning of the above referenced Tract No.2; thence
S08054'47"E a distance of seven hundred twelve and sixty five hundredths (712.65)
feet, being the Actual Point of Beginning of Tract No.3; thence S82003 'OO"W a
distance of four hundred thirty five and thirty three hundredths (435.33) feet.
The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of 0.20 acres,
more or less, as shown on the plat dated 12/6/00, marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from the Museum Board of Hall County, Nebraska,
on the above-described tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, January 9,2001.
