WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited proposals for Consulting Services
Relative to Solid Waste Operations, according to plans and Request for Proposals on file at the office
of the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, proposals were due on October 24,2000; and
WHEREAS, HDR Engineering, Inc. of Omaha, Nebraska, submitted a proposal in
accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals and all other statutory requirements
contained therein; such proposal being in the amounts as set out in the fee schedule attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the proposal of HDR Engineering, Inc. of
Omaha, Nebraska, for consulting services relative to solid waste operations is hereby approved as
the best evaluated proposal received.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a contract by and between the city and such
contractor be entered into for such proj ect; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska on December 5,2000.
