11/21/2000 Resolutions 2000-350 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2000-350 WHEREAS, the City is interested in acquiring property from Louis E. Graham and Virginia B. Graham, husband and wife, for the purpose of extending Juergen Road, installing water, sewer and paving for future development of the Platte Valley Industrial Park property; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 21,2000 for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of property; and WHEREAS, the purchase price of the property to be acquired for right-of-way purposes is $6,000 per acre; and WHEREAS, an Agreement for Warranty Deed has been prepared by the City Attorney's office for such acquisition of property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island is hereby authorized to acquire road right-of-way, permanent utility easements and temporary construction easments from Louis E. Graham and Virginia B. Graham, husband and wife, for property located in and adjacent to the Platte Valley Industrial Park, as set out in the Agreement for Warranty Deed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Agreement for Warranty Deed for such conveyance of property is hereby approved; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
