08/15/2000 Resolutions 2000-239 I I I RES 0 L V T ION 2000-239 WHEREAS, on June 28, 1999, by Resolution 99-205, the City of Grand Island approved an agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads for the construction of the South Locust bridge over the Wood River floodway channel and associated roadway construction to extend South Locust Street from V.S. Highway 34 south to the south corporate limits; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to modifY the agreement based on the Federal STP funds available for Phase I of the South Locust Street project; and WHEREAS, the maximum level of Federal STP funds available for this project is $2,200,000; and WHEREAS, a Supplemental Agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's office. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that Supplemental Agreement No. 1 by and between the City and Nebraska Department of Roads is hereby approved which indicates that the maximum level of Federal STP funds available to be used for Phase I of the South Locust Street project is $2,200,000. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such Supplemental Agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
