07/25/2000 Resolutions 2000-208 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2000-208 WHEREAS, the State of Nebraska requires all utility water customers to assess and report potential backflow hazards on this premises no less than every five years; and WHEREAS, as a result of such mandate, the Utilities Department provides a survey to its water customers to complete; and WHEREAS, in order to adequately collect and assess the data from the survey, the Utility Department utilizes a scanner and specialized computer software packages; and WHEREAS, the support services for using such specialized computer software packages will expire in August of2000; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that contracts be entered into in order to continue such software support services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Software Support Subscription Agreements and the Central Exchange Maintenance Terms and Conditions by and between the City and National Computer Systems of Eagan, Minnesota, for use in collecting and analyzing data from utility water customers are hereby approved, and the Utility Director is hereby authorized and directed to sign such documentation on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
