05/23/2000 Resolutions 2000-163 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2000-163 WHEREAS, Bonnard H. Blair and Mary V. Blair, husband and wife, have expressed an interest in selling to the City approximately 8.0 acres of land for the purpose of developing a park located northeast of North Road and Hampton Road, with the option to convey an additional 0.667 acres of real estate contiguous to such property; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 23, 2000 for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of property located in the South Half of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter ofthe Southwest Quarter (SYz NYz NW'l'4 SW'l'4) of Section Twenty Five (25), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Ten (10) West of the 6th P.M. in Hall County, Nebraska; and WHEREAS, the purchase price of the 8.0 acre tract is $6,500 per acre; and WHEREAS, an Agreement for Warranty Deed has been prepared by the City Attorney's office for such acquisition of property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island is hereby authorized to acquire approximately 8.0 acres of property from Bonnard H. Blair and Mary V. Blair, husband and wife, for use as a municipal park, with the option of acquiring an additional 0.667 acres as set out in the Agreement for Warranty Deed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Agreement for Warranty Deed for such conveyance of property is hereby approved; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
