05/08/2000 Resolutions 2000-144 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2000-144 WHEREAS, on October 12, 1998, by Resolution 98-258, the City of Grand Island adopted the Community Connections Neighborhood Association Program; and WHEREAS, funds are available through the Family Preservation Grant to provide 50/50 basis assistance for neighborhood improvement projects; and WHEREAS, various neighborhood associations submitted applications for neighborhood improvement projects; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that $2,828.15 be provided to the Southwest Neighborhood Association for the installation of new sidewalks along North Road; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that $1,531.00 be provided to the Northwest Neighborhood Association for improvement and enlargement ofthe Capital Heights Park with the addition of two new pieces of equipment; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that $3,000.00 be provided to the EAST Neighborhood Association for the addition of toddler play equipment in Lincoln Park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the above-mentioned neighborhood associations be provided with the funds for the projects as identified above.
