RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2000-72
WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island,
Nebraska from Trinity United Methodist Church of Grand Island, for the purpose of allowing for the
location, construction, inspection, repair, replacement, removal and maintenance of such utilities;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 13, 2000, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement and right-of-way through a part of Lots One (1)
and Two (2), Block Fourteen (14), Original Town, now the City of Grand Island, Hall County,
Nebraska; the ten (10.0) foot wide easement and right-of-way being more particularly described as
follows:
Outside boundary beginning at a point 5.0 feet west of the southwest comer of Lot
2, Block Fourteen, Original Town Subdivision; thence 26.0 feet north into Lot 2;
thence 82.0 feet east; thence 26.0 feet south to a point 21.0 feet east of southwest
comer of Lot 1; thence 10.0 feet west; thence 16.0 feet north; thence 62.0 feet west;
thence 16.0 feet south; thence 10.0 feet west to point of beginning, as shown on the
drawing dated February 22, 2000, marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Trinity United Methodist Church of Grand
Island, on the above-described tract of land.
