WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island,
Nebraska from Grand West, L.L.c., a Limited Liability Company, for the purpose installing,
upgrading, maintaining, and repairing water and electrical utilities; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 7, 2000, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement and right-of-way through a part ofthe Southeast
Quarter (SE~) of Section Eleven (11), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Ten (10) West ofthe 6th
P.M. in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; the easement and right-of-way being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest comer of Grand West Subdivision, said point also being
on the northerly right-of-way line of Shanna Street; thence running easterly along the
northerly right-of-way line of Shanna Street on as Assumed Bearing of S89052'12"E,
a distance of Five Hundred Nineteen and Fifty Nine Hundredths (519.59) feet, to the
ACTUAL point of beginning and to a point of curvature; thence running
northeasterly along the arc of a curve in the left whose radius is One Hundred Forty
(140.0) feet, the long chord of which bears N78032'06"E, a long chord distance of
Fifty Six and Twenty Eight Hundredths (56.28) feet, to a point oftangency; thence
running N66056'26"E, a distance of Eighteen and Eighty Nine Hundredths (18.89)
feet, to a point on the westerly right-of-way line of Mansfield Road; thence running
SOl003'47"E, a distance of Eighteen and Seventy Five Hundredths (18.75) feet;
thence running N89052'12"W, a distance of Seventy Two and Eighty Eight
Hundredths (72.88) feet, to the ACTUAL point of beginning.
The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of 0.011 acres, more
or less, as shown on the plat dated 1/19/2000 marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Grand West, L.L.C., a Limited Liability
Company, on the above-described tract of land.

running easterly along the northerly right of way line of Shanna street
on an assumed Bearing of S 8~ 52'12" E, a distance of Five Hundred
Nineteen and Fifty Nine Hundredths (519.59) feet, to the ACTUAL point
of beginning and to a point of curvature; thence running northeasterly
along the arc of a curve to the left whose radius is One HUndred Forty
(140.0) feet, the long chord of which bears N 7~ 32'06" E, a long
chocd distance of Fifty Six and Twenty Eight Hundredths (56.28) feet,
to a point of tangency; thence running N 66056'26" E, a distance of
