01/10/2000 Resolutions 2000-12 I I I RES 0 L UTI 0 N 2000-12 WHEREAS, Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 81-15,160, et seq., provides for a Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Fund that may be used for the purpose ofIntegrated Solid Waste Management; and WHEREAS, grant funds are available for distribution in 2000; and WHEREAS, the City desires to apply for funds for a replacement landfill compactor for compaction of solid waste. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Mayor is hereby directed and authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Grand Island, the grant application for a replacement landfill compactor for the amount of $205,000 in grant funds to be matched by $135,000 cash from Solid Waste Division revenues and by $70,000 in-kind funding from the trade-in of the existing compactor.
