ORDINANCE NO. 8668
An ordinance to create Street Improvement District No. 1234; to define the
boundaries of the district; to provide for the improvement of a street within the district by
I paving, storm drainage, and other incidential work in connection therewith; to provide for the
filing of this ordinance with the Hall County Register of Deeds; and to provi~e the publication
and effective date of this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1234 in the City of Grand Island,
Nebraska, is hereby created.
SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows:

Beginning at a point on the north line of Section 5-10-9 said point being Forty
Eight (48.0) feet east of the northwest comer of Section 5-10-9 said point also
being the northwesterly most comer of Platte Valley Industrial Park Third
Subdivision; thence east on said north line of Section 5-10-9 for a distance of Six
Hundred Sixty (660.0) feet; thence south on a line Three Hundred (300.0) feet
east of and parallel to the east line of Juergen Road for a distance of One Hundred
Ninety (190.0) feet; thence southwesterly on an arc with a radius of Six Hundred

Thirty (630.0) feet to a point where it intersects a line Three Hundred (300.0) feet
east of the east line of Juergen Road; thence south on a line Three Hundred
(300.0) feet east of and parallel to the east line of Juergen Road to a point Five
Hundred (500.0) feet north of the north line of Tirnm's Subdivision; thence west
on a line Five Hundred (500.0) feet north of and parallel to the north line of
Timm's Subdivision for a distance of Three Hundred Sixty (360.0) feet to the east
line of US. Highway 281; thence north on the east line of US. Highway 281 for a
distance of Four Hundred Sixty Five and Eight Tenths (465.8) feet; thence west
on the south line of Lot Twenty Two (22) Platte Valley Industrial Park Third
Subdivision for a distance of Seventy Five and Four Hundredths (75.04) feet;
thence north on the west line of Lot Twenty Two (22) Platte Valley Industrial
Park Third Subdivision and a prolongation thereof to the point of beginning, all as
shown on the plat dated March 15,2001, attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference.
SECTION 3. The following street in the district shall be improved by paving and
other incidental work in connection therewith:
Juergen Road, from Schimmer Drive south approximately 865 feet, in the City of
Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska.
Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications
approved by the Engineer for the City of Grand Island and approved by the Mayor and City
Council.
SECTION 4. All improvements shall be made at public cost, but the cost thereof,
shall be assessed upon the lots and lands in the district specially benefited thereby as provided by
law.
SECTION 5. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the
office ofthe Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its
passage and publication, without the plat, as provided by law.

SECTION 7. After passage, approval and publication of this ordinance, without
the plat, notice of the creation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Independent,
a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law.
