I I ORDINANCE NO. 8560 An ordinance to create Street Improvement District No. 1229; to define the boundaries of the district; to provide for the improvement of an alley within the district by paving, curbing, guttering, storm drainage, and other incidential work in connection therewith; to provide for the filing of this ordinance with the Hall County Register of Deeds; and to provide the publication and effective date of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Street Improvement District No. 1229 in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, is hereby created. SECTION 2. The boundaries of the district shall be as follows: Beginning at the northeast comer of Lot One (1), Block Sixty Six (66), Original Town, said point also being the intersection of the west line of Pine Street and the south line of Third Street; thence east on the south line of Third Street and a prolongation thereof to the east line of Sycamore Street; thence south on the east line of Sycamore Street to the north line of Second Street; thence west on the north line of Second Street and a prolongation thereof to the west line of Pine Approved as to Form T ~ January 20, 2000 '" City Attorney I I I ORDINANCE NO. 8560 (Cont.) Street; thence north on the west line of Pine Street to the point of beginning, all as shown on the plat dated November 2, 1999, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The following alley in the district shall be improved by paving and other incidental work in connection therewith: The alley between Pine Street and Sycamore Street, between Second and Third Streets, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. Said improvements shall be made in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Engineer for the City of Grand Island and approved by the Mayor and City Council. SECTION 4. All improvements shall be made at public cost. The cost and expense of extending, but not replacing the existing storm water sewer lines shall be levied upon the lots and lands abutting the public right-of-way in which such extensions are constructed to the extent specially benefited thereby. SECTION 5. This ordinance, with the plat, is hereby directed to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraska. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage and publication, without the plat, as provided by law. SECTION 7. After passage, approval and publication of this ordinance, without the plat, notice of the creation of said district shall be published in the Grand Island Independent, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in said City, as provided by law. - 2 - Approved as to Form T (.J3l/ January 20,2000 ....
