WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Boiler Inspection and
Repair—Fall 2026,according to plans and specifications on file with the Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, on July 21, 2026, bids were received, opened, and reviewed; and
WHEREAS,Extreme Precision Industrial Contractors,LLC,of Gillette,Wyoming,
was awarded the contract by Council on August 11, 2026, but has since respectfully declined due
to internal company constraints; and
WHEREAS, Locke, AMI, LLC of Olathe, Kanas is the only remaining responsive
bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of Locke, AMU, LLC, not to
exceed the amount of $363,721.00 for Boiler Inspection and Repair — Fall, 2026, is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
contract with Locke,AMI, LLC for Boiler Inspection and Repair—Fall,2026, and to take all other
actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
