WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island Police Department is a member of the Tri-
Cities Drug Enforcement Team (TRIDENT); and
WHEREAS,the TRIDENT Task Force has been approved for the $60,014.00 High
Intensity Drug Trafficking Area(HIDTA) funding for the operations of the Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Task Force serves an effective role in the investigation and
apprehension of drug dealers and violent criminals, and;
WHEREAS, the City serves as the fiscal agent for the TRIDENT Task Force
operational funds.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,to approve the award for$60,014.00 of the High
Intensity Drug Trafficking Area(HIDTA) funding for the operations of the Task Force.
