WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island Utilities Department wishes to partner with
the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska(MEAN); and
WHEREAS,the intent is to establish a long term training program for line workers
from Nebraska and adjacent states; and
WHEREAS, Grand Island will host the program for the foreseeable future and
MEAN will organize the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Event Cooperation Agreement is
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute such contract on behalf of the City of Grand Island and to take all other actions necessary
to effect the purpose of this resolution.
