WHEREAS, the Grand Island Fire Department has purchased and preparing to use
Zoll Zenix vital sign monitors to treat our patients; and
WHEREAS,The Zoll corporation has proposed a purchase agreement to discount the
sale price of Zenix supplies if the Grand Island Fire Department agrees to buy ninety percent of our
vital sign monito supplies from Zoll; and
WHEREAS, As the Zoll Zenix is new to the market and Zoll is the sole and
proprietary manufacture of the supplies needed for the features of the Zenix monitor to function.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,move to approve the Zoll Purchase Agreement and the
designation as Limited Source Procurement for three years.
