WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division of the Finance Department manages
the high-speed internet connectivity for all city offices and facilities;
WHEREAS, the new contract from OPTK Networks provides for three years of service at
a negotiated rate; and
WHEREAS, the contracted monthly cost for the service is $27,900 payable in regular
monthly installments of$775.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Information Technology Division is hereby
authorized to purchase the internet service from OPTK Networks in the amount of$29,700.00
payable in regular installments of$775 for the 36-month term.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor or designee, IT Manager, is authorized to
sign the contract on behalf;of the City of Grand Island.
