WHEREAS, on December 14, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-346, City Council
approved Electric Pump,Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa as the sole source provider for Flygt equipment
and repairs at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lift Stations; and
WHEREAS,the pump for Lift Station No.7 needs replacement due to age and wear;
and
WHEREAS, for redundancy, to aid in the prevention of sanitary sewer backups, a
second pump is also needed; and
WHEREAS, a quote was received from Electric Pump of Des Moines, Iowa in the
total amount of$64,868.00 for two (2) Flygt pumps with associated hardware.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA, that two (2) Flygt pumps in the total amount of
$64,868.00 through Electric Pump, Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa, are hereby approved.
