WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island and Grow Grand Island,Inc. ("GGI")entered
into a contract for enhancement and investment in community development on October 25, 2016;
and
WHEREAS, the contract has been renewed periodically since that date; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to the contract, GGI installed three Welcome to Grand Island
signs at three separate locations; and
WHEREAS, the City needs to formally accept ownership of these signs for
insurance purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the City of Grand Island hereby accepts
ownership of three Welcome to Grand Island signs installed by GGI.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, April 14, 2026.
