WHEREAS, the City approved the contract and the amendment for animal shelter,
care, and disposition with the Central Nebraska Humane Society; and
WHEREAS,the Grand Island Police Department submitted an invoice for a portion
of the January services performed between the Central Nebraska Humane Society and the City of
Grand Island for animal sheltering, care, and disposition services; and
WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island Councilmembers pulled the variable portion of
the invoice for further review: and
WHEREAS,the Grand Island Police Department requests that the Mayor and the City
Council approve a January invoice for payment of$7,903.28.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,to approve the payment for$7,903.28 to pay the
remaining portion of the January 2026 services provided by the Central Nebraska Humane Society to
the City of Grand Island for animal sheltering, care, and disposition services.
