WHEREAS, on October 28, 2025 by Resolution 2025-379,the City Council of the
City of Grand Island awarded Scheele-Kayton Construction,LLC from Lincoln,Nebraska,a bid in
the amount of$13,196,820.00, for Island Oasis Water Park Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, as the project progressed some changes were identified in the plans
to further enhance the project; and
WHEREAS, such changes have been incorporated into Change Order No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the changes will be funded through Food & Beverage Funds
21100003-9999; and
WHEREAS, the result of such changes will increase the contract amount by
$440,778.00 for a revised contract amount of$13,637,598.00.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1 between the City of Grand Island and Scheele-Kayton
Construction, LLC from Lincoln, Nebraska to incorporate the change order in the amount of
$440,778.00 for a revised contract amount of$13,637,598.00. Changes include:
1. Site/Civil Changes increase $249,808.00
2. Light Poles and PA infrastructure increase $ 81,764.00
3. Speed Slide Drain Pits increase $ 7,372.00
4. Splash Pad Colored Concrete decrease $ 90,000.00
5. Mini Golf Amenities increase $191,834.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign all
related documents on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
